Adam, I am a long time subscriber to you, we actually spoke about two years ago… I am a avid believer in foam rolling. It took several injuries to make a believer out of me but I try not to go onto the tennis court without it… Sometimes it is difficult when you are playing at a court other than home. In that case I spend about 30 minutes 1 1/2 hours before the match… Not ideal but it does help. Currently, I am fighting a knee injury that I had a MRI on, the good news no tears, the bad news no definitive diagnosis… I am using religiously the foam roller as your five videos show along with icing 3 times a day. I am getting better and able to play 3-4 times a week; if not for the foam roller I think my season might be over… Two more matches to go! Great job guys!

Oh yes, forgot to mention; when I first started using it I was told by PT who was working on a shoulder injury that I should roll my should too. I roll, sort of under my arm pits, across my front and rear delts… Its a little difficult but if you can find a table that can handle your weight, get on the corner and roll away…

    Tom,

Adam and I are working on a great nutrition book for tennis players. It is not only the key for great tennis performance and recovery but it is the key for vitality and longevity.
Thanks again for your comments. Hit with a top junior who’s 15-years-old the other day…he ran me all over the place. We got to keep the older guys going strong!
